This organization aim to change the legal rules and laws that stand in Nigeria against women. When talking specifically about Women rights in Nigeria, Legal Defence And Assistance Project’s main goal is to provide legal protection for women’s rights, access to justice for women, the right to fight against domestic violence and also to promote human dignity and respect for the rights of women (“Women’s Rights). Legal Defence and Assistance Project goal is to provide change and improve the framework regarding protection of victims of domestic violence, enhance the world’s education and awareness regarding women’s human rights, improve the number of women who participate in public life and the making of policies, integrate the respect of women’s human rights in the public policies, legislation, and also the administration of justice and lastly, provide legal support to female victims of human rights abuse (Women’s Rights).
